Jason found the world of dance in college when he stumbled into an Argentine Tango Class and it was love at first sight. This compelled him to study Argentine Tango which has brought him to the next level, instruction. Jason Competed for his University for 5 years both at home and abroad, becoming Co-team captains with his Partner for the last two years. Jason was among the first teachers of dance during his fellowship at Fairmont University. He went on to teach ballroom dance at the Manatee School for the Arts in FL.
Among his major accomplishments Jason is proud to have been the coach and director for the Spats Youth Dancesport Foundation. This organization has a mission to make ballroom dancing affordable to all youth. This team has competed in some of the top venues for ballroom dance and many of his students have went on to become teachers of ballroom dance.
Jason was invited to become a faculty member in the area of ballroom dance for Hillsborough College and was the Co-organizer of the largest youth Dancesport competition on the east coast. Jason has been instructing ballroom dance and Argentine Tango since 2005. He has recently relocated to the Wilmington area and looks forward to continuing his passion for dancing.
