Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to have a partner to participate in any lessons?

Absolutely not! You’ll meet plenty of people to dance with during our group classes and social events. If you’re interested in private lessons, you can participate by yourself as well. However, you’re more than welcome to bring a friend or significant other to join in on the fun!

What do I wear to dance class?

SHOES

Wear comfortable shoes that will stay on your feet when you dance. Avoid wearing sandals and shoes without a lot of traction (you don’t want to be sliding all over our wooden floor). Ladies: Avoid wearing heels that are higher than two inches.

Dance shoes are not mandatory for your first few lessons. It’s part of the learning process. After you pick the dances you like, then you’ll need to acquire your perfect pair of dance shoes.

CLOTHING

No need to dress up. However, if you want to dress the part, here’s what is typically worn for the following genres:

BALLROOM – Ladies wear a dress or nice dress slacks. Men wear nice dress slacks.
